Fort Myers Carnival FAQs

How much does it cost to book a carnival in Fort Myers?
Packages begin at $345 for one tent, four games, staff, music, and prizes for an hour. Two tents with six games is $475; three tents with eight games is $575. Hours beyond the first add $100 or $125 depending on the package, to four hours total. Everything is quoted before you book, including any travel outside our standard service area.
Do you bring carnival rides?
No. We bring carnival games — tents, booths, targets, prizes, and staff to run them. Mechanical rides are a different business with different licensing, and we don't operate them. Guests rarely miss them at a private event: the games are what people queue for, and a midway of eight booths keeps a crowd occupied far longer than one ride does.
What space and surface do you need?
A flat 30 by 30 foot area, free of obstructions. Grass, driveway, patio, or parking lot all work equally well. What matters more than the surface is that it's level — sloped ground throws off game scoring and makes tents harder to secure. We also need a clear path from the vehicle to the setup spot to bring equipment in.
Do I need helpers, or do you bring staff?
Both, normally. Our staff run the games; we ask you for two helpers with one tent, three with two or three tents, to hand out prizes and manage lines. If you'd rather not put guests to work, the Fully Staffed Host add-on is $120 per hour and replaces those helpers entirely, so nobody at your party spends it working.
Is this a public carnival, or one you bring to me?
One we bring to you. Big Idea Backyard Carnival isn't a fairground or a ticketed event — it's a private booking. We arrive at your address, set up striped tents and game booths, run the carnival for your guests, and take it all down afterwards. If you're looking for a public carnival happening in Fort Myers, this isn't that. If you want one at your own event, it is.
What ages is this good for?
Roughly three through twelve at the core, though the games work well past that. Younger children play the toss and target games with a helper nearby; older kids and teens compete on scores. We've run the same booths at family events where the adults played as hard as anyone. If your group skews older or younger, tell us and staff adjust the difficulty.
What happens if it rains?
We'll work with you to reschedule to a future date. If that isn't possible, your deposit is refunded. The deposit secures your date and time when you book, with the balance due the day before the event, so a weather cancellation doesn't leave money sitting against a party that never ran. Southwest Florida storms move fast, and a brief shower usually just pauses play.
Do the games include prizes?
Yes — small prizes come with every package and are handed out at the booths as kids play, so nobody walks away from a game empty-handed. If you'd like larger prizes or something for a final round, bring them along and give them to our staff at setup so they go out through the games rather than separately.
